Many people from all over the world find they come for a bit of shameless fun and end up staying longer for the atmosphere and the people are so friendly. Not you typical travel guide

If you are considering buying this travel guide, you already know what you are looking for. If you know what I mean. Wink. If you don't, I mean sex.
The guide is clearly written by someone who knows what he is talking about and who has been to Bangkok multiple times. There is a part with the tips on transportation, eating out, sightseeing, but majority of the book is aimed to get girls in the safest and best way possible.
I plan on visiting Bangkok with my friends in a few months and this book will certainly come in handy. Maybe I won't use it but it is good to have a guide like this if I find myself in a situation where I need it.

This book is an awesome read from cover to cover! The author reveals that there is so much more possible than what we are told to believe. It is fascinating to read his experiences, and those of his clients’, to discover that regular, ordinary people do not have to die to visit the other side. This book has definitely opened my mind! I love that he also included a glimpse of his decade long childhood trauma. I am sure it helped other readers as it did for me. I would be interested to read more about his family dynamics and more detail of how he overcame it all, and if there is any left over residuals even with the forgiveness. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is one of those select few.

I run a metaphysical bookstore and am visited by many authors with books relating to the other side. There are only a select few that I read all the way through, and even fewer that I read immediately after receiving it. This is one of those select few. Geozuwa's story is both heart-breaking and transcendent. The depth of his connection to the other side is in a class by itself, and this is coming from someone who meets and knows such people as a part of my business. His experiences and communication will speak to the skeptic, the new believer, and the experienced metaphysician, one and all. I highly recommend this book.

I've got 3 words to describe this book: EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! The author takes us on a captivating journey exploring his history of metaphysical experiences, transcendence of childhood trauma and evolution as a guide and instructor to others who seek answers about "The Other Side." The book is as interesting as it is well written.

About the Author
Gerard J. Tortora is a professor of biology and teaches microbiology, human anatomy, and physiology at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. He received his M.A. in Biology from Montclair State College in 1965. He belongs to numerous biology/microbiology organizations, such as the American Society of Microbiology (ASM), Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), National Education Association (NEA), New Jersey Educational Association (NJEA), and the Metropolitan Association of College and University Biologists (MACUB). Jerry is the author of a number of biological science textbooks. In 1995, he was selected as one of the finest faculty scholars at Bergen Community College and was named Distinguished Faculty Scholar. In 1996, Jerry received a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) excellence award from the University of Texas and was selected to represent Bergen Community College in a campaign to increase awareness of the contributions of community colleges to higher education. Berdell R. Funke received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in microbiology from Kansas State University. He has spent his professional years as a professor of microbiology at North Dakota State University. He taught introductory microbiology, including laboratory sections, general microbiology, food microbiology, soil microbiology, clinical parasitology, and pathogenic microbiology. As a research scientist in the Experiment Station at North Dakota State, he has published numerous papers on soil microbiology and food microbiology. Christine L. Case is a registered microbiologist and a professor of microbiology at Skyline College in San Bruno, California, where she has taught for the past 38 years. She received her EdD. in curriculum and instruction from Nova Southeastern University and her M.A. in microbiology from San Francisco State University. She was Director for the Society for Industrial Microbiology (SIM). She received the ASM and California Hayward outstanding educator awards. In addition to teaching, Chris contributes regularly to professional literature, develops innovative educational methodologies, and maintains a personal and professional commitment to conservation and the importance of science in society. Chris is also an avid photographer, and many of her photographs appear in this book.

Gr 9 Up-The lives of John Busby, a police officer, and his family were shattered on the evening of August 31, 1979 when he was shot in his car on the way to work on Cape Cod. While he survived the horrific encounter, he had to undergo years of reconstructive surgeries. John believed that the shooter was hired by a prominent individual in the community who was dissatisfied because two members of his family had been arrested. During the investigation, the Busby family was under 24-hour surveillance and, finally, they moved away and went into hiding. This memoir (Bloomsbury, 2008), written by Cylin and John Busby, chronicles this horrific event and its aftermath and is told in alternating chapters by David Baker and John's daughter, Cylin, who was nine-years-old at the time of the shooting. By experiencing the story through the eyes of the victim and his daughter, listeners get an accurate picture of their ordeal. Appalling miscarriage of justice....amazing family.

I preordered this book back in June and had forgotten about it until it arrived in my mailbox. I started reading it last night and am almost halfway through it. I grew up on Cape Cod, and never heard of this until a few years ago when the suspected shooter's wife was murdered. This story hits really close to home, because my father was a police officer, and my worst fear was that he would get hurt/killed at his job. This family is amazing. The hell that they went through, and the complete miscarriage of justice is appalling. There is no question that this case was completely bungled/covered up.

John Busby is an advocate for extending the statute of limitations on crimes against police officers. A few years ago, the brother of the suspected shooter admitted he was the driver while his brother shot Officer Busby, but because the statute of limitations had run out, he could not be charged.

Ironically, the suspected shooter has been in a mental institution because he suffers from dementia since 2001. Some call it poetic justice. Amazing and haunting, don't miss this book.

Great read

I grew up in Falmouth during the time of 'Ray Meyers'. I remember the people in this book. I remember the pain of losing a friend that was murdered during this. I never knew many of the details about this time. Officer Busby and his daughter gave me those details in this book and helped me put order to the confusion from that time. I could not help but cry reading this book. I have to say I liked the way he and his daughter took turns writing the chapters. This book is a great perspective from a child's point of view when faced with awful, life-altering tragedy. Her perspective reminded me of how parents always tried to hide things from children back then. Officer Busby's story reminded me how truly horrible things happen to truly good people. He also reminded me why parents try to shield their children from those horrors.
This book is a testament to a family's strength of character and love for one another. They are the type of people we ought to look upto and use as role models, not folks who are celebrity for celebrity sake. This family never, never wanted any of this. They faced this with such strength and resilience that I can only stand in awe and complete respect for them.
For those who might find it interesting 48 Hours Mystery will be doing this story sometime in February of 2009. I would suggest you read this book and then watch the story.

Nostalgia at its Best

When I was in elementary school, I had a teacher that would read from this book if the class behaved. I had all but forgotten them until I happed to see them in a recommended for you section. They are not the fairy tales of the Grimm brothers, but they are decidedly southern. The main character Jack uses his wits and bravado to outwit giants, magical creatures and even death. For a small boy growing up in a poor area, it stirred my imagination. Reading them now, they are not politically correct, but that I like that about them. Jack (the hero) always comes out on top, but never in a way in most would think or be proud. The books simply are what they are and that is good enough for me. Thanks to Amazon for whatever computer program that put this book on my list. Thanks for bringing back a forgotten piece of my childhood when the sum of my problems was catching the bus on time, doing my homework and chores and making friend who would last a lifetime.

Simplistic and Trite

I found this book to be quite useless. The author natters on about how great it is to make lists and gives dozens of examples of things she makes lists of such as grocery lists (duh), gift lists, packing lists, etc. She also makes lists things seem quite silly such as things to say to a celebrity - should you ever run across one who actually wanted to be chatted up by a stranger, or a list of things to say to make people smile. If I spent all the time she does making lists I'd never have the time to actually accomplish anything.

Much of the book has nothing to do with lists and is a re-hashing of organizing tips and tricks that anyone interested in time management had already heard a hundred times. The main message seemed to be, "if you have something you need to remember to do, write it down." I think I could figure that one or for myself.

It also seems to me that the author misses the boat on the most effective use of lists which is a standing checklist for anything you have to do more than once. While she alludes to it and has a couple of samples, most of her examples are of one time lists. I also thought it curious that the author's most comprehensive checklist for a repeatable activity was for a destination wedding. Just how many times would one have to plan a destination wedding for themselves?

Bottom line is that I found this book to be like so many of the "blog-to-book-deal" genre; light on substance, obnoxiously chatty in style, and completely lacking in originality.

Excellent eBook! Highly Recommended!!

I had recently bought this eBook and put it in my Kindle library to collect a bit of digital dust until I could pull it up and read it. I was feeling depressed, disorganized, mentally fuzzy, tired and unsure of what I should be doing when I thought to myself, "what one book could I read that could pull me out of this funk." This one came to mind and I read it in one day while at work (I got a lot of downtime). Right from the start my mind started feeling awake, positive, organized, clear and motivated and believe it or not, I could even see more clearer.. really. This was just what I needed to kick-start me into high gear and start making lists. The first list I made is a list of the lists I need to make. Paula did a wonderful job of organizing the information and getting right to the point..not much fluff here. She gives a lot of great resources too that will save you time and probably money as well since time is money and you could spend hours trying to find all the suggested apps she lists in this book. I rarely give 5 star reviews and I don't know this author from anywhere so this review is pure, grateful expression. If you need to get organized..get this eBook and DON'T waste any time allowing it to gather digital dust on your Amazon cloud. READ IT ASAP!
